The KIUST Institute of Oil and Gas was set up to train and conduct research pertaining to the business of petroleum and energy ,mining and exploration of oil and gas deposits. The research and training functions of this Institute include the management of exploration, production, refining, environment and safety, measurement, marketing, gas processing plants, standards and practices, and oil and gas engineering management.
