Graduate Program by Coursework

Graduate Certificate of Ministry and Christian Counseling

Students must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent in order to do graduate courses.

 

This program is the first four courses of the Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling. It is intended to provide participants with some of the fundamental principles of Christian Ministry and Counseling. The participants will be required to apply the principles covered in the program to real life situations and organizations. Students must complete the following 4 courses to be awarded the Graduate Certificate of Ministry and Christian Counseling.

 

GCMC 7010 Christian Discipleship and Biblical Foundation

GCMC 7011 Church Growth Education and Strategy I

GCMC 7012 Marriage and Family Counseling I

GCMC 7013 Personal and Identity Issues Counseling I

 

This program may be completed in 2 – 4 trimesters depending on the number of courses taken per trimester. Each year is divided into 3 trimesters and each trimester is 13 weeks duration. Students can commence study in the middle of January, May or September of every year.

Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling

This program is designed to build upon the knowledge acquired in the Graduate Certificate of Ministry and Christian Counseling. The course is both theoretical and practical. The participants will be required to apply the principles covered in the program to real life situations and organizations. Students must complete the following 8 courses to be awarded the Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling. The 8 courses are divided into 2 Stages:

 

STAGE 1 – The courses for this first Stage of the Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling listed under the Graduate Certificate of Ministry and Christian Counseling program are:

STAGE 2 – Students who successfully complete the first Stage (i.e. Graduate Certificate of Ministry and Christian Counseling) and the following 4 courses in the second Stage of Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling will be awarded the Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling qualification.

GCMC 7021 Church Growth Education and Strategy II

GCMC 7022 Marriage and Family Counseling II

GCMC 7023 Personal and Identity Issues Counseling II

 

This program may be completed in 1 – 2 years depending on the number of courses taken per trimester. Each year is divided into 3 trimesters and each trimester is 13 weeks duration. Students can commence study in the middle of January, May or September of every year.

Master of Ministry and Christian Counseling

This program is intended to provide participants with the various concepts and principles of Christian Ministry and Counseling. The participants will be required to apply the principles covered in the program to real life situations and organizations. Students must complete the following 12 courses to be awarded the Master of Ministry and Christian Counseling. Completion of Stages 1 and 2 will lead to the award of the “Graduate Diploma of Ministry and Christian Counseling”. Units required to be completed are:

Graduate Programs by Research

Master of Comparative Religion

This program is designed for participants to conduct research that compares Christianity with two other major religions. To receive a Master of Comparative Religion degree participants must pass:

This program may be completed in 1 – 2 years depending on the amount of time students put into the study. Students can consult their supervisors through emails, faxes and telephone calls. Students can also visit their supervisors for face-to-face supervision and/or students can organize video conferencing sessions (if necessary). Each year is divided into 3 trimesters and each trimester is 13 weeks duration. Students can commence study in the middle of January, May or September of every year.

Master of Ministry and Christian Counseling

This program is designed for participants to conduct empirical applied research in the areas of ministry and counseling. To receive a Master of Ministry and Christian Counseling degree participants must pass:

This program may be completed in 1 – 2 years depending on the amount of time students put into the study. Students can consult their supervisors through emails, faxes and telephone calls. Students can also visit their supervisors for face-to-face supervision and/or students can organize video conferencing sessions (if necessary). Each year is divided into 3 trimesters and each trimester is 13 weeks duration. Students can commence study in the middle of January, May or September of every year.

Master of Evangelism

In addition to studying Research Methods and Analysis, participants will research the effectiveness of the various methods of evangelism and apply the findings to a local church in their region, state or country. The result of the research and application of the findings will be submitted as a dissertation. To receive a Master of Evangelism degree participants must pass:

This program may be completed in 1 – 2 years depending on the amount of time students put into the study. Students can consult their supervisors through emails, faxes and telephone calls. Each year is divided into 3 trimesters and each trimester is 13 weeks duration. Students can commence study in the middle of January, May or September of every year.

Doctor of Ministry (Church Growth)

This program is designed for church ministers and pastors who hold a degree in any area of theology to conduct an in-depth applied research into the history and methods of church growth in their region, state or country. To receive a Doctor of Ministry degree participants must pass:

This program may be completed in 3 – 6 years depending on the amount of time students put into the study. Students can consult their supervisors through emails, faxes and telephone calls. Students can also visit their supervisors for face-to-face supervision and/or students can organize video conferencing sessions (if necessary). Students can commence study in the middle of January, May or September of every year.

Doctor of Ministry and Counseling

This program is designed for church ministers, pastors and Christian workers who hold a degree in areas of ministry and counseling to conduct an in-depth empirical research into any aspect of counseling with particular reference to Christian counseling and ministry. To receive a Doctor of Ministry and Counseling degree participants must pass:
